On October 01, 2022, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched 5G services in New Delhi.

2022 is being held from October 1 to 4 this year. It is organized with the theme New digital Universe' Inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi, this event brings together government, experts and major technology, media and entertainment, and telecommunications (TMT) companies. It is a major networking event in India's technology sector.
•5G technology will also increase the efficiency of energy, spectrum and networks. The government aims to invest about three lakh crore rupees in two years to provide facilities of 5G services across the country.

•Airtel has launched 5G service in eight cities including Delhi, Mumbai. Additionally, Reliance Jio has launched mobile 5G services on October 22, 2022 from Nathdwara, Rajasthan. Reliance Jio Chairman Akash Ambani at Rajsamand in Rajasthan has started 5G services from the famous Shrinathji temple.

•By August 2023, Reliance will have 5G in every city and tehsil of the country Trying to expand the services.

•Internet speeds in the high-band spectrum of 5G have been tested as high as 20 gigabytes per second while 4G has recorded a maximum internet data speed of 1 Gbps in most cases.
